For some River Arts District eats, try the Bull and Beggar, the Smoky Park Supper Club and All Souls Pizza. Other great offerings include Vinnie's Italian and Avenue M, located in North Asheville.

Breweries and bars abound. The River Arts District boasts New Belgium, set in a beautiful new building overlooking the French Broad River. Other favorites include Green Man downtown, Asheville Pizza and Brewing, and Sierra Nevada close by the airport. Most breweries also offer tours where you can get some of the history and taste the offerings.

Cozy and awesome.

This was our first cabin experience. We had an amazing time. It was spacious and the sunroom was amazing with all of the windows. The fully stocked kitchen, as far as cookware and utensils, was useful because we like to cook when we go on trips. There was a slight issue with dog hair on the pillows in the bed, and on the throw blankets in the living room, but there were extra pillows to use.

Great place to stay!

The Sunset Cottage was amazing, so homey and cute! It’s in an ideal location; about 15 min to downtown and all of the restaurants and breweries (like a $10 Uber ride) but still feels very secluded. The views from the deck were gorgeous. Our check in date changed at the last minute due to the winter storm but the property manager was very accommodating and reasonable. Only thing that would have made it better would have been outdoor lighting. It’s pitch black at night and a little worrisome if you have dogs to walk after dark. Overall the place was clean, adorable, and affordable and we will definitely be back!

We loved the Sunset Cottage. Great location to downtown, inside/outside fireplaces and the best view. We loved sitting on the deck with a beautiful view, no matter what time of day. We would stay here again.
