Monthly Rental. This little house is a newly constructed green built home in West Asheville with a fenced-in back yard. It is quiet, it has off-street parking, and two of the most comfortable beds you will ever experience. The open floor plan and vaulted ceiling gives you plenty of room to relax and unwind. Hardwood floors and a grassy fenced back yard make this the perfect place for your pets to come and share Asheville with you. Furnishings are amazing and super comfortable. One of our guests dubbed it the Little Giant because it's bigger than it looks from the outside!

The neighborhood is quiet and within a short walk to Carrier Park, which features miles of walking trails, playgrounds for the kids, picnic tables, lawn bowling, the MellowDrome (a repurposed auto race track), a roller blade hockey rink, and of course the awesome French Broad River. Our favorite park in Asheville and largely undiscovered and underutilized.

The neighborhood is one of the most popular in Asheville. It was established in the 1920s and 30s, and has undergone a period of decline and rebirth. Many of the homes have been rebuilt and others have been torn down to make way for new ones. This one was stripped down to the floor joists and totally rebuilt using all new materials and green building techniques.

The back yard and side yard are fenced, so dogs will have a great place to play. The kitchen door opens out to the yard, so managing your dogs is easy. We do our best to make our properties as pet friendly as possible.

Michigan Avenue is narrow and many of the residents park on the street. There is room in the driveway to park two cars but please be aware that the driveway is on a fairly steep incline. If you have one car, you will pull up to the top and park on a fairly level spot. But if you have two cars, your second one will be on the slope so be aware. If you are uncomfortable with this prospect this may not be the best fit for you!

We hope you enjoy this home as much as we did when we were getting it ready. It was a lot of fun and we were reluctant to leave. We will be there any time there is a vacancy because we love the easy access to the park!

We specialize in property management services for short term rentals. We can also help you get started in vacation rentals so please feel free to contact us. Visit our web site at PeteKey dot com for more information.

If you are looking to make Asheville your home, this is a perfect home base for house hunting. We are a good resource if that's your plan, as we know the area and the market. So please let us know and we will help you any way we can.

Thanks and enjoy your stay in Asheville!

Outstanding rental and Outstanding Landlord

By: Trip Date: 2018-08-14

We are unique in that we stayed in this home for a few months while looking for a home to buy. The house was immaculate upon entry. Very well curated. Fenced back yard. Dog friendly (even for our big dog). Comfy beds. Coffee. Washer/dryer. No issues what so ever. And Pete was always available if we had any questions what so ever.

Overall, I really can't say enough good things. A+ all of the way around. Zero hesitation what so ever to recommend Pete or this property at any level.
Manager Response
It was such a pleasure to host you and your family!

SWEET SPOT

By: Trip Date: 2018-03-04
Very clean home with ample space for the two of us. The kitchen was well stocked. The neighbors were quiet. Elisabeth was attentive to any needs we had - almost immediately. The location was great and convenient - especially to West Asheville. An extra rug runner would have helped with the cold floors in kitchen and hallway. A sweet spot to stay at for sure.
Manager Response
We appreciate you stay and are glad that you enjoyed your time at the house.

A clean space while our house was under construction.

By: Trip Date: 2017-12-06
We rented this property as a place to stay while our house was under construction.

The property was clean and as described. We were very happy to find it was well-stocked with provisions such as toilet paper, paper towels, clean linens, and even dish soap and sponges.

I would recommend this to a friend without hesitation.
Manager Response
We where happy to have you and your wife stay. Thank you for renting and being such great tenants.

(( Amazing stay, a great location for "home base"

By: Trip Date: 2017-02-03
My wife and I stayed at the "Little Giant" for several months as we relocated to Asheville- what a find! Pete and Elisabeth were excellent communicators, and we have nothing but excellent things to say about our stay.

It's walking distance to Haywood Road, the Walk, Owl Bakery, the Admiral, etc. Head the other way and there's two great parks, a rock gym, etc.

Manager Response
Patrick and his wife where the ideal renters. We feel lucky to have been able to rent our house to them.

Convenient West Asheville Stay

By: Trip Date: 2017-01-25
We stayed at the Little Giant for several weeks in December and January while we were looking to buy a house. The house was in good order and the few issues we had were quickly addressed by Elisabeth and Pete. It has a great yard for dogs (we had two) and is a quick drive to the dog park at the French Broad River park, which we used nearly every day. Also very quick drive to all the West Asheville restaurants and coffee shops which we enjoyed frequently. Wifi was fast, cable TV was what we wanted and the kitchen was well equipped with pots, pans and the essentials. The broiler did not work and the first attempt to replace the coil did not succeed, but Pete was still planning to fix it when we left.

Perfect "Little Giant"

By: Trip Date: 2016-12-01
The Little Giant lives up to its name. We stayed for a few weeks and were very comfortable. Kitchen has everything you might need. Location is great - Carrier Park for walking the dogs, all of West Asheville for food and entertainment (BiscuitHead, the Hole, etc.).
Manager Response
West Asheville is such a great neighborhood to be able to stay in for a stretch of time and get to enjoy all it has to offer. Sounds like you where able to do just that. Thank you for staying.

Art District

I had a great vacation The house was perfect for what I need

At home in West Asheville

By: Trip Date: 2016-08-16
We came to Asheville to get a better sense of the community and determine if it was a city to which we would like to move. The location was ideal for us since it was near the West Asheville historic district and conveniently located to downtown. Pete and Elizabeth were very helpful and even loaned us 2 bikes! My suggestions would be for a more thorough vacuuming, availability of basic toiletries for showering and a firmer bed.

Great summer place

By: Trip Date: 2016-07-14
Well maintained with great location. Great pet friendly home with fenced in yard. Shower head and mattresses getting close to needing update but would definitely recommend
Manager Response
Thank you for renting the house. We appreciate your feedback and are are always working to improve the house.

Exactly what we needed.

By: Trip Date: 2016-05-17
This was exactly what we needed. My husband and I, our dog and my brother and sister in law spent 4 nights here. It was just what we needed. Super close to walking and biking trails (our dog loved that) close to mountain biking (my husband and BIL loved that) and an easy drive to downtown AVL. We were also pleasantly surprised by how much there was to offer right up the street in West Asheville. The fenced in yard was a huge bonus. The only thing we could have used is some lawn chairs to enjoy the warm weather in the evenings! We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Manager Response
Thank you for renting the house we are glad that you enjoyed your time there. West Asheville is really growing and has so much to offer right in the neighborhood.

Cute, Comfortable Bungalow

By: Trip Date: 2016-04-20
We loved the rental property and it was in a very good location. We were in Asheville for a four day biking trip where all of the rides started at Aston park. This location gave us the flexibility to ride to our start point. The rental it self was very clean and really cute. The bed was very comfortable too. If we come back to Asheville next year, I would definitely rent the property again.
Manager Response
Thank you for renting the house we are happy that you enjoyed your stay.

West Asheville 2 bedroom Rental

By: Trip Date: 2016-04-15
Weekend in Asheville visiting local outdoors sites and downtown Asheville. We stayed in this rental on the west side of Asheville. The neighborhood is a quite residential location. we were less than a 10 minute drive to downtown attractions. This house is a couple blocks from Haywood Street which has a couple nice breakfast restaurants We went to a few of the local breweries while we were there. Since it was just a couple days, we were not in the rental during the days and really only slept there. We didn't use the kitchen appliances etc so can't comment on if they worked, but everything looked fine. The driveway is kind of steep so that might be a concern for some folks. It
Manager Response
West Asheville is a great place to enjoy a bit of quite but still be close enough to walk to a few places and a short ride into downtown. Thank you for renting the house.

Home Sweet Home

By: Trip Date: 2016-03-30
This is the third time we've stayed here for springtime in Asheville. It was as clean and nice as we remembered. It is so convenient to our daughters, spacious enough to entertain both families, and just set up to our liking.
Manager Response
Thank you for choosing our house as your Asheville home away from home!

Wonderful, clean haven in Asheville

By: Trip Date: 2016-03-16
We had a fantastic experience renting this West Asheville Bungalow. The whole house was extremely clean, tidy and inviting. We were able to make ourselves at home and have a little space to spread out too. Every detail was thought through. The house is within walking distance of Carrier Park which was fun to explore with kids. And it was very close to great dining and shopping options on Haywood St. in West Asheville. Overall it was a very pleasant and lovely stay.
Manager Response
Thank you staying at the house. We are so glad that you enjoyed the neighborhood as well. We hope that you can come stay again soon.

West Asheville

By: Trip Date: 2016-03-08
Very good place to stay. The gated back yard was perfect for my dog. The house was clean, comfortable and convenient to downtown West Asheville. I will definitely recommend this location.

Great little secret in Asheville

By: Trip Date: 2016-03-02
Awesome bungalow! Had a very comfortable visit......kitchen well equipped, nice soft bath towels, house extremely clean. We were able to bring our labrador with us on this trip and she loved being in a house environment rather than a hotel room. Fenced back yard but we didn't really use it! We were warned the driveway is very steep, and it is....but wasn't an issue. We will definitely check for availability here first on our next trip!
Manager Response
It is our pleasure to provide a comfortable place for guests to stay who are traveling with their pets. We look forward to hosting you on your next trip to Asheville. Thank you!

LOVED IT!!!! WILL STAY THERE AGAIN!

By: Trip Date: 2015-12-10
We had a great time in Asheville. The Michigan Ave house met all of our needs. Location seemed real convenient to everything and worked well for our family of 4! Being close to Carrier Park was a wonderful surprise. Next time we will bring our dogs!
Manager Response
Thank you for staying at the house we are so glad you enjoyed your time there.

Great family getaway

By: Trip Date: 2015-12-19
This home was perfect for my family! It was very inviting and comfortable for our family of four. The fenced in back yard was a nice bonus for our four legged child too. Would love to stay again soon.
Manager Response
So glad that you enjoyed your stay.

Great little house

By: Trip Date: 2015-11-21
My family of three (and our dog) stayed here for four nights and loved it. The location was very convenient to the Asheville sights and the house had everything we needed. The fenced yard was nice. It's not a strong fence and doesn't provide privacy but it was definitely suitable for keeping our dog in. As mentioned in other reviews the driveway is short and steep which I'm sure is typical for the area. It was never a problem for us but it's worth mentioning that a low sitting car (ie. BMW) wouldn't be a good idea.
Manager Response
Thank you for renting the house so glad you enjoyed your stay.

Great Location!

By: Trip Date: 2015-11-30
We have stayed at a lot of homes and cabins in the Asheville area and typically have a good experience. We were not disappointed here! This home is located in a great West Asheville location - very close to downtown and within walking distance to Haywood Street. The home was very clean, bright and updated. The fenced back yard is great if you have a pet. I definitely recommend this location!
Manager Response
So glad that you enjoyed your stay.

Perfect for People and Dogs

By: Trip Date: 2015-11-15
My boyfriend and I are looking to relocate to Asheville and wanted to spend a week with our dogs exploring. Although there are plenty of pet friendly accomodations, Pete Key Properties offered the lowest pet fees and didn't have the two dog limit like other places. Elisabeth suggested 206 Michigan to us because of the fenced yard.

The location was ideal as a home base for exploring and we would walk to Haywood Road and all of the stores.

The house was the perfect size for us and our three big dogs. It was clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was incredibly quiet and the people we encountered were friendly. I had called ahead to find out if there was a tea kettle or if we needed to bring our own and Elisabeth said she would make sure one was there for us and it was.

We would definitely stay here again while we are house hunting and suggest it to others.

Michigan Ave property Asheville

By: Trip Date: 2015-11-09
Having dogs, this is a great place to stay; it's near the French Broad Park and within minutes of downtown Asheville. It's also close to the interstate, so getting to locations on the outskirts of the city are also convenient. The neighborhood is quiet and easy to get to; and close to grocery and other eating establishments.
Manager Response
We appreciate you renting the house.

Key Properties Review 2015

By: Trip Date: 2015-10-05
The house was clean and basic maintenance was taken care of quickly. The house was in a neighborhood but was close to all attractions in the area. Lake Lure was only 45 min. away. Realtors were friendly and helpful to people who knew nothing about the area.
Manager Response
Thank you so much for renting from us.

Nice 2 bedroom home in W. Asheville

By: Trip Date: 2015-09-01
The house was very clean, nicely furnished, and we would recommend it to folks who want a convenient, attractive place to stay in Asheville. It was quite close to the Biltmore Estate - an easy drive of about 10 minutes.
Manager Response
Thank you for renting the house we are glad that you enjoyed your stay.

206 Michigan

By: Trip Date: 2015-07-14
Thanks for the rental. Great spot, quiet location, nice amenities. Good-sized rooms for three to four people. To work on: the bedroom doors are squeaky enough to interrupt sleep, and although the property was mostly clean, some pieces of furniture were pretty dusty and one couch had pet hair on it.

Great place

By: Trip Date: 2015-07-11
Cute, comfortable house in a great location. Walking distance to some great West Asheville restaurants, bars, and shops. Cheap Uber ride (<$10) to downtown. Quiet neighborhood, comfortable beds, and the house was equipped with everything we needed. (Except no hairdryer, so bring your own.)

Lovely, Clean, Well-Appointed Home in Convenient Location

By: Trip Date: 2015-06-21
Our stay at this property was for the purpose of exploring Asheville as a possible relocation town. Elizabeth was patient with our many questions and the owner went out of their way to make our stay a pleasant one. Very close to the River Arts District, the Biltmore, downtown Asheville and less than 5 minutes from great eateries and funky stores in West Asheville. We'll be back!

Nice house, dog friendly

By: Trip Date: 2015-06-12
Overall a nice house. The house is well maintained, clean and the kitchen is stocked with what you need to make a nice dinner or breakfast. House is near some nice eating joints. Not far from downtown and the Biltmore. Easy access to the Blue Ridge.

Good Place To Rest

By: Trip Date: 2015-06-08
Our stay at this rental was great. house was clean and neat. Although we weren't at the house much, it was nice to have a comfortable bed to sleep in. The central air was certainly "cool" too. Pete was very helpful by hooking us up with an associate to show us the real estate in the area.

Cute comfortable house, good location.

By: Trip Date: 2015-06-06
Very nice house. It was a good base for our weekend activities.

Great Location for Pet Owner

By: Trip Date: 2015-05-30
We have been to Asheville a number of times and just love the West Asheville area. This rental location is perfect. It is close to great parks for walking our pooch. The proximity to Haywood Ave is wonderful for foodies, too. We enjoyed walks to a variety of restaurants/pubs. The property was very clean, bright and well-appointed. The large yard was great for our dog. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

My Asheville home away from home

By: Trip Date: 2015-05-25
Since I have a dog, I really enjoy the fenced in back yard and my daily walks around the neighborhood. This was my second time staying at the house, and I hope to stay there again in the future.

Excellent Rental

By: Trip Date: 2015-05-17
The Asheville rental home was an excellent space for the two of us. It was very clean, nicely appointed and the kitchen was well equipped. All rooms were spacious and bright. The property description was accurate and the advertising pictures of the property are up-to-date. The driveway is very steep and I would not suggest two cars being parked on it as the second car would be on the steep incline. It would be nice to have some lawn chairs for either the front porch or the back yard. The location is in an older neighborhood but we (two ladies) felt very safe. It is very convenient to the interstate. I would certainly recommend this location and home to my friends, in fact, I already have. I will also stay in this home on my future trips to Asheville. I had no reason to speak with the owner or manager so I can't respond to their customer service. Great place to stay and I recommend it highly. So much better than a hotel.

We had a nice stay. The property was clean and convenient as advertised. The back yard was especially nice for the dogs.

Asheville Escape

By: Trip Date: 2015-04-28
This was a charming, comfortable house. The location was perfect for our visit to the Biltmore Estate and local quilt shop. We would definitely stay here again. The driveway was a little scary but fun!

Perfect Choice!

Very comfortable home in a convenient location. Great dining spots and parks nearby. We would stay at this home again if travelling to Asheville.

Asheville Home Away from Home

By: Trip Date: 2015-03-27
This is our second time staying in this bungalow for over a week at Easter. It felt like coming home. The owner checked on us as did the housekeeper. Helpful hints are now on th refrigerator. Blankets were added for the cold nights and the kitchen supplies have been added so Easter dinner for 11 was fun. Go visit!
Manager Response
Thanks for staying with us again. and we're grateful for the kind words. We have been working to make little additions and improvements over time, so it's great when someone notices and comments. Please come visit us again any time!

Great Stay in W. Asheville!

Little Giant, Very Convenient West Asheville

By: Trip Date: 2015-02-01
Home appears small from the outside, but was really spacious inside. Property was as advertised, comfortable with a great location. Clean fenced yard was perfect for our 2 dogs. Property was clean, but agree with others that a deep clean (laundry, oven) would be in order, as well as minor maintenance (wobbly coffee table, some bulbs out). Agree that small dressers would be helpful. Managers were receptive to our comments and responsive to our emails. Would definitely stay here again!

Asheville visit

By: Trip Date: 2015-01-30
GREAT place to stay! We could not have been happier w/the rental. It was close to everything & we loved the set up of the space. Can't wait to return to Asheville!

Great pet friendly house!

By: Trip Date: 2015-01-24
Great place to stay, especially with our dog! The fenced yard and location to walk up to Haywood was excellent! Clean house, with a great layout and location. The whole process was great too!

Excellent stay

By: Trip Date: 2015-01-17
This house was perfect for our needs. It isn't a luxiourous house but it is clean, well maintained and has everything you need. Convienent location in quiet neighborhood. Affordable home that is a great value. Bonus points for the bed being extremely comfortable.

206 Michigan

By: Trip Date: 2014-12-20
We stayed here on our trip for the Christmas candlelight visit to Biltmore. The home is cute and charming and very close to Biltmore. Needs deep cleaning; otherwise, we were pleased because it is pet-friendly, a real plus.

Cute cozy bungalow in Asheville.

By: Trip Date: 2014-12-09
Very cozy bungalow in West Asheville. Close to everything, just out of the chaos of the city. Spacious and bright, a great little oasis after long days sightseeing or in the outdoors. So much to do in Asheville, history, mountain sports, art everywhere. A great vacation spot!
Manager Response
Thanks for visiting us, and please come back any time!

Great stay!

By: Trip Date: 2014-11-13
Stayed with my two dogs in this lovely home for one week in November 2014. It was in a great location with lots of tasty restaurants nearby. The riverfront was a great walking spot with my pups. The home had everything we needed for our stay with a fully stocked kitchen and laundry! Loved having the fenced yard for the dogs! The bed was very comfortable and though the shower water pressure was a bit low, the bathroom was well done. This was a great rental for exploring the area, I highly recommend it!
Manager Response
Thanks for the feedback and the nice review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay, and we will definitely swing by and see if we can do something with the water pressure. Maybe we can switch out the shower head, or it might just be plugged up. Please come visit us again soon, and thanks for choosing us.

Nice Getaway Near Everything!

By: Trip Date: 2014-11-22
The photos do not do this place justice! It is far bigger, roomier and nicer than we were expecting. It was extremely easy to get to everything nearby as well.
Manager Response
Thank you for the kind words. We appreciate your business, and we hope you will visit us again soon!

Clean, cozy, and centrally located.

By: Trip Date: 2014-11-07
My mom and I enjoyed staying at this house during our recent trip to Asheville. It was clean, cozy, and centrally located to all of the sites we wanted to see. We were less than 10 minutes away from Biltmore, downtown Asheville, and the River Arts District. Should I return to Asheville, I would definitely stay at this house again.
Manager Response
Thanks for staying with us, and we appreciate the nice review. We look forward to hosting you again soon!

Pretty good

By: Trip Date: 2014-10-27
A fairly comfy stay, sparsely furnished and equipped. Needs dressers/drawers in the bedrooms, a broiler pan in the kitchen or grill outside. It was good to have the laundry equipment available. It was very clean in all the places you can see - but cleaners need to look behind the blinds and clean the dead bugs out. I would recommend it for someone who needs a place to sleep and shower, and to eat breakfast and/or lunch. We were looking for a place we want to come back to regularly, make dinner for our family, feel like "home." This wasn't it.
Manager Response
Thanks for the feedback. You are the first to describe the house as sparsely equipped. We have gone to great lengths to make this home beautiful, comfortable and well appointed. We have done a lot since your visit to improve, so it's better than ever.

our dogs invited us on vacation

By: Trip Date: 2014-10-24
Everything was as "advertised;" close proximity to a great dog park was a real plus. Good location - shops in easy walking distance, easy and quick trip into downtown. Would recommend.

Great place to stay

By: Trip Date: 2014-10-20
We enjoyed the location of the home! Everything we wanted to do was close by. The home was clean and in a quiet neighborhood.

Great place to stay for a month!

By: Trip Date: 2014-08-29
We very much enjoyed our stay for the month of September. The little bungalow was perfect for our needs for 30 days. It is close to the parks (Carrier, French Broad River and dog park), restaurants on Haywood (The Admiral, Sunny Point, King Daddy, Battle Cat coffee shop, and Standard Pizza), convenient to the interstate, downtown and grocery (Ingles). The house was exactly as pictured, well-maintained, clean and fully stocked, but probably could use a deep cleaning and does need a few small repairs such as re-hanging the laundry door. The beds were comfortable, but squeaky and there were ample linens (although we used our own sheets and towels). The back yard was perfect for our dog and we enjoyed having coffee and reading on the front porch (we used our own camping chairs). The owner/manager and staff were great to work with and we hope to spend a month there next year!

Asheville Bungalow

By: Trip Date: 2014-10-08
Location was good. House inside and out looked as it appeared in pictures. Needs to have some deep cleaning. Window seals, washer and dryer needed to have a good cleaning. Could use some touch up paint in the closet of front bedroom. Manager was great to work with prior to our arrival.

Quiet and great location

By: Trip Date: 2014-10-01
For the most part we had a great time here. There were a few things that could make it a little nicer place. Although we were warned about the driveway and looking back at the listing now, I can see where it ends, after a long day and being tired when we arrived we drove right off the end. My husband put a few logs he found in the back yard at the end so it wouldn't happen again, a simple fix! While the inside is very nice and clean, I think the first impression at the front of the house made me a little nervous. A coat of paint and a little cleaning, some TLC would go a long way to improve the appearance. Also, rather than chairs in the bedrooms, a small table to put luggage on would be nice. And lastly, squeaky beds!

Clean, Comfortable, and Close to Everything

By: Trip Date: 2014-08-22
We were simply searching for a single-level home (my husband uses a walker), and ended up falling in love with the bungalow, the neighborhood, and the location. Close to Carrier Park and exceptional coffee at Battlecat, short drive downtown or to the River Arts District (don't miss the tacos at White Duck), and all sorts of food options (Ingles for groceries, King Daddy Chicken & Waffles for, you guessed it, chicken and waffles like you've never had 'em before). The new-build, old school Craftsman bungalow is clean, bright, spacious, and well suited for four adults. Bring a couple of folding chairs to sit on the covered front porch or stargaze in the fenced in back yard. Perfect weekend getaway spot in a funky, fun neighborhood.

Love

By: Trip Date: 2014-08-01
My wife and I highly recommend this bungalow. We spent a week here. It is extremely convenient to everything around Asheville. West Asheville is very funky and relaxed. The bungalow has some of the best restaurants in Asheville within walking distance. One of our favorite places was Standard Pizza, gourmet pizza and an amazing cheap "eats". Carrier Park is just down the road and is a beautiful place to walk your dog, if you have one. The bungalow was meticulously clean, very quiet, and just a great place to relax in before heading out to explore the town and surrounding areas.

Perfect for our needs

My mother and I really enjoyed our two days at this property. It was perfect for our needs and how dog loved the yard. We will look forward to renting in the future too....close to lots of yummy stuff on "westside" Asheville.

Excellent Bungalow for an Asheville stay

By: Trip Date: 2014-08-08
Wow! We loved it! This was our first trip to spend time inside Asheville itself, and once we settled into being in a "home" rather than hotel, it was great. Comfortable and cozy with easy access to downtown and highways. HUGE fenced in yard for a dog- but bring chairs if you want to sit outside. My 9 year old did not want to leave! I highly recommend this home and look to come back in the future!

We really are grateful that you chose us, and we hope you come and stay again!

Loved this Home!

By: Trip Date: 2014-07-20
This home is in the revitalized West Asheville community and fits well into the eccentric neighborhood. The location is perfect as it is minutes from downtown and even closer to the funky Haywood Road. The house was clean and very spacious. The back yard was great for our beagle with very easy access to the kitchen. We had a few family members who live locally over for dinner and comfortably entertained the group with the open floor plan. The beds are super comfy and bathroom very adequate. The only negative, which is a small thing, is the cookware is in need of replacing. Otherwise, we are very please with everything from check in to check out. I'll be staying again!
Manager Response
Thanks for the heads-up on the cookware. We will be replacing it soon. Please let us know when you'll be back; we look forward to hosting you again.

nice stay

By: Trip Date: 2014-07-10
in general this is a great location and clean and comfortable home. only very minor issues, like to have a grab bar in shower, and a dresser for underwear etc. Back yard great for dog, close to restaurants, food stores, pharmacy, Minutes to Biltmore, downtown and highways, really a very good place to stay for the price.
Manager Response
Thanks for the feedback. We really weighed the merits of a dresser in each bedroom and opted to put comfy chairs instead. With the limited space we liked that option better. There is plenty of closet space for clothes but it's an adjustment for sure. Please come stay with us again any time!

Very clean and comfortable!

By: Trip Date: 2014-07-27
This is a great house to rent in Asheville. It is very clean, airy, and perfect for 2-4 people. I would highly recommend this place unless you require a place that is walkable to downtown. It's a easy drive though!
Manager Response
We are glad you liked the place. West Asheville is a bit different from Asheville proper but you are right about it being close. It's an easy drive on local roads through the River Arts district to downtown. Come stay with us again any time!

Fabulous home in West Asheville NC

By: Trip Date: 2014-07-01
Home is wonderful. Rebuilt bungalow, new appliances and amenities. Close to Carrier Park and downtown Asheville as well as highways. Good sized bedrooms, open floor plan and well appointed. Fenced in back yard. Driveway was not a big issue. No deck, and would recommend outside chairs to sit either outside in back or on the front porch. Pet friendly, loved the house and the neighborhood. A real Gem!

Springtime in Asheville

By: Trip Date: 2014-04-05
The first thing you notice when you walk in to 206 Michigan is how clean the cute bungalow is. Then you'll appreciate the open floor plan. We entertained family two different Sundays. We cooked and fed 10 comfortably. The location was perfect for us - in between our two daughters one in west asheville the other out east. Having Carrier Park just down the street worked out well for running and walking the dog. Beds were comfy, kitchen well equipped, and the internet was speedy. Couple things on my wish list if we were to stay again - chairs to sit outside, a small BBQ grill, kitchen towels and soap for the bathroom. Good memories came home with us from our stay in this welcoming little house.

Long Weekend in Asheville

By: Trip Date: 2014-03-14
This place was exactly what we were looking for and it was a great price! It had a large yard for the dog and every household item that we needed. Also, it was only a couple blocks from this great park on the river. The only thing that could have been helpful was if there was a binder explaining the clean up process/expectation when we were leaving. We really enjoyed our stay :)
Manager Response
Thanks for visiting, and please come see us again any time! After we got your feedback we created a "fridge card" that has lots of info, including check-out guidelines and info about the house. Come see us again soon!

Perfect little Asheville house!

By: Trip Date: 2014-03-19
We loved our stay at 206 Michigan Avenue! The house was adorable and clean; very spacious. Nice modern kitchen and an open plan that made the place feel much larger than it appears on the outside. Loved the fenced in back yard ... Perfect for our young kids. Also loved the location!! Carrier Park is just down the street and such a cool park for adults and children! Close to lots of great restaurants. Pete was very helpful and went above and beyond to recommend restaurant delivery services on our night of arrival and he even helped us get our redbox movie returned after we accidentally left it in the DVD player. Overall a great stay!! I'd definitely stay here again in the future!

Comfortable and Quiet

By: Trip Date: 2013-11-20
Our stay in Asheville was enhanced by staying at the house at 206 Michigan Avenue. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood street, the great location and the house itself. It is comfortable and quite large. The open plan living, dining, kitchen area is very convenient although kitchen noise travels to all these rooms. I suggest the owner place large reflective numbers on both the mailbox and the front door. We arrived at night and had a difficult time finding the house.

Great Asheville bungalow

By: Trip Date: 2013-12-24
We spent Dec. 24 through Dec. 27 in this lovely house in West Asheville. We were initially attracted to this house because of the fenced in yard because we travel with our 2 dogs. Based on the photos online, the house looked well-kept so we booked it.

Overall, we loved our stay at this home; the size was perfect for the 2 of us and our 2 dogs. It was wonderful to have a fenced in yard so they could do their "business" although some previous guests left some landmines in the yard so we cleaned those up as well. The neighborhood where this home is located is ecclectic. Some homes are in nice shape and others are somewhat dilapidated. This didn't bother us at all; however, depending on what you're looking for in a vacation a experience, some people may prefer a more homogenous neighborhood. Getting to downtown Asheville was simple and only took about 10 minutes.

Another perk of this home's location are the 2 parks within walking distance. If you have dogs and/or like to run, Carrier Park and French Broad River Park offer trails and nice views of the river. We walked our dogs at Carrier Park daily.

The only critique we have of the home is that there weren't any bowls, which seemed odd considering that there were large and small plates along with silverware. There weren't any extra garbage bags for the kitchen either, so we went to the nearby gas station to purchase some.

Overall, we loved our stay at this home in Asheville. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to friends!
